Fashion plays a huge role in society. Whenever a trend emerges, everyone follows; that's how significant fashion trends are. Over the past few years, we have seen the evolution of fashion, from corsets to long dresses, long dresses to denim, denim to tank tops, and many more.
Today, let's journey through the iconic fashion trends from the 1920s to the 2020s. So, sit back, sip your cup of tea, and enjoy as I recount the history of fashion.
1. 1920s Fashion
During this period, women enjoyed greater freedom than in previous times. They moved away from wearing corsets, multiple layers, and other restrictive garments. The flapper style became popular, offering women more freedom than they had previously experienced.

1930s fashion
This marks the beginning of films and movies becoming widespread. While movies were already familiar to many, this era saw them become pervasive in society. Consequently, fashion also transformed. People began to emulate what they observed in films. Fashion evolved from hemlines and flappers to styles featuring longer torsos and broader shoulders, introducing something entirely new.

1940s Fashion
Fashion in the 1940s had a uniform-like appearance. With the onset of World War II, there were material shortages, and even after the war officially ended, these shortages persisted. As a result, much of the fashion from this era resembled uniforms.
4. 1950s fashion
During this period, fashion began to be perceived through a gender-based lens. Women emphasized elegance and formality, highlighting their feminine side positively. This era also marked the expansion of fashion, with an increasing number of people being influenced by what they saw on television.

That's all for now. Stay tuned for part 2, where we'll delve deeper into fashion from 1960 to 2020, exploring the remarkable expansion of fashion and the increasing freedom society granted over time!
